Happy Fourth of July! :)

Hello Family and Friends! :) Happy Fourth of July to all of you! :) We are so blessed in this country to be able to celebrate our independence and to celebrate so freely. I'm so thankful for our freedom, and for those who gave so much and continue to give so much to protect us! :) Thank you to all of you and your families. God bless you.

I apologize for not having updated this in some time. I'm so thankful to all of you that are reading it now! I hope you're all feeling well and having a great summer. :)

I am performing six nights a week in Echo Hollow at Silver Dollar City. My night off is Monday, so I'm there any other time. It's nice to get to speak with you when you come and visit and I really appreciate everyone taking the time to come and see the show. :) Our show begins when the rest of the park closes. It's a country show with lots of singing and dancing. Many of the songs in the show are on the radio often, and we do a section that features some of the best of Alabama, too. It's a lot of fun and has something for everyone.

I have still been giving lessons and am a beauty consultant with Mary Kay, as well. I've been very busy doing all of these things and enjoy it so much. It's great to get to help people in these areas and very rewarding to see people feel good about themselves. I've also started singing one night a week for about 30 minutes at Andy's Moon River Grill right after my show. I get to sing the kind of songs that I don't do in my show, so it's something completely different for me. It's refreshing to do something different and just a lot of fun for me. Still, my favorite place to sing is in church. I really love it so much and am so thankful that God gave me this gift.

I did not get to start any kind of a garden this year, as it will take a lot of work and bringing in better soil from somewhere else when we do get to. We really wanted to do this, but had too much going on this year when it was time to start the garden. Hopefully, next year we'll be able to do something. :) I still need to get to the store to buy some flowers to plant around my house. I really enjoy taking care of the flowers and seeing them change. Plus, they bring a beauty to your home that nothing else can. :)

Earlier this year, we had some little finches come back from last year, and build a nest on our porch. A few days later, another bird knocked their nest down and we thought we wouldn't see them again. But, the other day I looked out and they had built another nest and are so happy. I was glad to see them because it's so neat to watch as the baby birds grow and eventually become big enough to fly. It's pretty amazing. :)

Well, I will sign off for now, but will leave you with a question that you can answer on the comments section of the blog page. What is a gift that you have that you are thankful for and why?

As always, thank you so much for visiting me and I hope you all have a great day. Travel safely and watch for the kids as you're driving. They are playing and not thinking about anything else, so be careful! :) God bless you all and have a safe 4th of July!

Your friend,
Cassandre' :)

The gift of empathy - it gives me the desire and power to pray for others with conviction and passion because I feel their emotions so strongly. It is a blessing, and at times exhausting to be that closely tied to others.

It was so good to catch up on everything you've been doing! Sounds like you've been keeping very busy! I enjoyed your story about the finches, as earlier in the spring we had a robin nest right next to our dorm door, and it was fun to watch them grow and finally fly off.

As for a gift I am thankful for...I have always been grateful for my ability to reach people through music. At a very young age my family and I would perform for elderly in nursing homes and assisted living homes, so I learned early on what it felt like to bring people joy in that way. While I don't perform much anymore, my siblings and I recently joined together to form a choir for my grandpa's funeral Mass. I know that in Heaven he was enjoying another one of our performances, and it meant so much to us to sing for him one last time.

God bless!

Cassadre,

Sounds like you are VERY VERY busy. What a great time for you.
The gift I am most thankful and why?? hmmmmm
I would have to say my ability to talk to just about anyone. I inherited it from my Dad, his mom and my mom's father. They never knew a stranger and developed special friendships that lasted their entire lives.
I have been able to talk to others about my passions, concerns and listen to theirs as well. It is a gift God blessed me with that I want to do my best to keep.
I have met some very special people because of it. I believe it has allowed me to leave a positive impression on them too.
Now, to turn the tables on you.
What is YOUR gift that you are thankful for and why?? haha

God bless and love,

Annette
